PRN Physical Therapist - Outpatient - Chicagoland
We are seeking a flexible and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis in the Chicagoland area. This role is ideal for a clinician looking for scheduling flexibility while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse population. The PRN Physical Therapist will provide coverage for staff absences, fluctuating patient volumes, and expanded clinic hours while maintaining consistent clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations to assess functional limitations and establish treatment goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise, and modalities
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain adherence to clinic policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Doctor or Master of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist license in good standing
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments and patient needs
- Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered depending on setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, or rehabilitation settings
- Flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations in the Chicagoland area
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Certifications in specialty areas (e.g., manual therapy, dry needling)
