About the role

As an Enhance Rehabilitation physical therapy assistant, you will work under the guidance of a physical therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's needs, assisting with all phases of treatment, communicating with patients and recording their conditions and responses, and providing continuous communication with Physical Therapists, Directors, and facility staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in treating patients following an individualized plan of care developed by Physical Therapists.
  • Ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.
  • Develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
  • Aid patients through all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques.
  • Discuss treatment plans with patients and document their conditions and responses in charts after each visit.
  • Communicate continuously with Physical Therapists, Directors, and facility staff.
  • Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state where you will be working.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
