PRN Pharmacy Intern

Job Summary

The Health System Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations by coordinating pharmacy services across various healthcare settings including acute care hospitals, retail pharmacies, ambulatory care facilities, oncology practices, and cardiology clinics. This role involves providing customized pharmacy programs that enhance cost-effectiveness and patient care quality, as well as consulting with healthcare teams on medication management.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of pharmacy operations outside one’s area of responsibility.
• Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
• Work on assignments that require moderate judgment in resolving issues.
• May assist in recommending processes for new assignments.
• Adhere to all quality guidelines.
• Occasionally review output by work leads or supervisors.
• Provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly for communication with customers and healthcare professionals.
• Strong customer service skills.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $18.70 per hour.
• No benefits offered.
