PRN Pharmacist - GA

Responsibilities

• Manage the prescription fulfillment process from within the pharmacy.
• Serve as a link between patient, physician, and pharmacy by performing the following duties:
• Overseeing supportive personnel
• Dispensing of medications
• Performing prescription transfers
• Drug interaction reviews
• Drug utilization reviews
• Proficient in completing all aspects of daily prescription processing duties of the pharmacist including the proper handling, usage, storage and shipping of drugs in the pharmacy.
• Maintain standards set by the department and translate policies and procedures into the daily operation of the pharmacy.
• Act as an information resource to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug related information and literature.
• Foster an environment that nurtures collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect through effective communication, and demonstrate positive communication skills evidenced by effective working relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in pharmacy
• 3 years of experience
• Licensed in the state of Georgia
• Strong staff and patient relationship skills
• Strong professional and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
