PRN PET-CT Technologist

About the role

We are hiring a full-time PET/CT Technologist to work at our New York facilities, requiring travel to multiple locations. Our PET/CT technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. They demonstrate technical competence by interpreting physician orders, selecting appropriate imaging parameters, and producing high-quality PET/CT images. Flexibility is key, as this role involves working in various environments, including freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and adherence to radiation safety regulations and documentation.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicate with patients, customers, and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or patient care coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanners, mobile coaches, and peripheral equipment (e.g., monitors, PACS, coils).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies.

Pay

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in New York is $57.30 - $68.53. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
