PRN Patient Services Associate - Night Shift

About the role

The PRN Patient Services Associate (PSA) plays a vital role in supporting patient-centered care within a medical practice, ensuring smooth patient flow and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient arrivals and departures
• Handle calls and inquiries, and schedule appointments
• Update insurance and billing information
• Perform point-of-service activities, including:
  • Anticipating and addressing patient needs
  • Managing service recovery
  • Collecting copays and obtaining signatures
  • Verifying insurance and updating electronic medical records (EMR)
• Communicate wait times and manage referrals and pre-authorizations
• Maintain knowledge of insurance and billing procedures
• Resolve work queues and order supplies
• Adhere to regulatory standards and embrace process changes

Requirements

• Epic certification and successful completion of EPIC scheduling training
• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 4+ years of customer service or completion of a pathway program
