About the Role
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division are seeking a PRN pathologist to provide floating coverage at hospitals in the Greater Tampa, Florida Area. HCA Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board-certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare-owned hospitals as well as commercial clients.
Requirements
- AP/CP certification or board eligibility
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
- Comfortable with the full scope of Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) for community hospital practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Review a wide range of surgical pathology specimens
- Handle cytology cases, including non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA’s, and lung FNA’s
- Perform clinical pathology duties, such as peripheral smears and blood bank reviews
