PRN Optometrist

Job Responsibilities

• Provides primary vision care
• Conducts eye examinations to diagnose vision problems and ocular diseases
• Makes measurements of patients' visual perception, acuity, focus, and coordination ability
• Analyzes test results and develops a treatment plan
• Uses diagnostic procedures and eye drops to aid in the diagnosis of vision problems and prescribes pharmaceuticals to treat eye diseases
• Determines conditions caused by systemic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, and refers patients to other health practitioners in Crossover's practice as needed
• Ensures clinic areas and instrumentation meet quality compliance standards
• Committed to patient satisfaction, providing excellent service, and delivering an outstanding eye care experience
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years demonstrated success in patient-centered optometry practice
• Licensed to practice optometry in applicable state
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

• Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Job Requirements

• May require standing, walking, and sitting for extended amounts of time
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs
• Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
• Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients
• Requires corrected vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges
• Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members

Pay and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $68.86 to $90 per hour. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will be eligible for 401K.
