Job Responsibilities
- Provides primary vision care
- Conducts eye examinations to diagnose vision problems and ocular diseases
- Makes measurements of patients' visual perception, acuity, focus, and coordination ability
- Analyzes test results and develops a treatment plan
- Uses diagnostic procedures and eye drops to aid in the diagnosis of vision problems and prescribes pharmaceuticals to treat eye diseases
- Determines conditions caused by systemic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, and refers patients to other health practitioners in Crossover's practice as needed
- Ensures clinic areas and instrumentation meet quality compliance standards
- Committed to patient satisfaction, providing excellent service, and delivering an outstanding eye care experience
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated success in patient-centered optometry practice
- Licensed to practice optometry in applicable state
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Job Requirements
- May require standing, walking, and sitting for extended amounts of time
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
- Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients
- Requires corrected vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges
- Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members
Pay and Benefits
The base pay range for this position is $68.86 to $90 per hour. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will be eligible for 401K.
