Job Responsibilities
- Initiates the eye care experience by greeting patients warmly
- Ensures patient history and pre-test data are collected for doctor prior to exam
- Establishes efficient patient flow to minimize patient wait times
- Maintains daily schedule to maximize appointment access
- Maintains clinic areas and instrumentation to meet quality compliance standards
- Monitors contact lens trials, inventory and orders to ensure timely delivery to patients
- Manages insurance authorizations/billing and patient communication
- Works with other medical providers to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Committed to patient satisfaction, providing excellent service and delivering an outstanding eye care experience
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate and/or completion of vocational training program in healthcare
- Minimum 1 year of employment in customer service related position
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 Year Degree
- Proven organizational skills, great interpersonal skills, and ability to work as a key team member
- Willingness to work with constantly changing technologies
Physical Job Requirements
- May require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients
- Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges
- Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members
