PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) for Home Health, Uvalde

Job Summary

The Home Health - Occupational Therapist will provide direct patient care to home bound patients, develop and revise treatment plans, and help them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises plan of care in consultation with physician and other care-team members.
• Provides therapeutic treatments and evaluation of equipment needs as applicable.
• Participates in clinical conferences and in-service programs.
• Conducts on-site supervisory visits of certified occupational therapy assistants.
• Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel as applicable.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes.
• Protects and honors patient and coworker confidentiality and right to privacy.
• Evaluates outcomes of care.
• Plans for discharge.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current Texas OT License
• Current Certification in BSL/CPR
• Valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Insurance
• Knowledge of Home Care Home Base software is a plus but not required.
