PRN Occupational Therapist

About the role

The OT Occupational Therapist PRN will work in our skilled nursing facility, providing exceptional, personalized care to address each resident's unique needs. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, establishing treatment goals, improving functional independence, educating patients, families, and caregivers, and assessing physical, communication, and cognitive skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treatment plans to improve functional independence
• Establish treatment goals to enhance patient’s ability to perform daily activities
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses and treatment processes
• Use therapeutic techniques to improve, rehabilitate, or maintain motor skills and overall ability to perform daily activities
• Assess physical, communication, and cognitive skills to develop a comprehensive treatment plan
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and caregivers about treatment plans and progress
• Clearly document treatment plans and progress

Requirements

• An active state OT license is required
• Some SNF experience is required
