PRN Occupational Therapist

About the Role

Provide PRN (as-needed) rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, focusing on geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and functional needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat geriatric patients to enhance mobility, daily living skills, and independence.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Provide adaptive equipment training, fall prevention strategies, and patient/caregiver education.
• Ensure high-quality, compassionate care across varying schedules and patient acuity levels.

Requirements

• Current license and registration as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in New York.
• Valid malpractice insurance.
• Dedicated, energetic, and passionate about delivering quality care.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience and a cheerful disposition.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.

Additional Information

• Per diem and PRN coverage preferred, with Sunday coverage desired.
