About the role
We are seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide flexible, per diem therapy services in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, and implementing Occupational Therapy programs in accordance with regulations and directives.
- Developing individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve optimal physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Participating in discharge planning, resident assessments, and care plan development.
- Supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.
- Maintaining accurate treatment records, resident files, and progress notes.
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure quality care.
Requirements
- Current NY state license and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Valid malpractice insurance and a good standing license.
- Strong commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and patience.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to resident well-being.
Schedule
The role offers flexible scheduling, including weekday and weekend hours, to accommodate personal availability.
