Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Assess residents’ functional abilities and needs, and modify environments to promote independence.
• Document progress and communicate with families and other healthcare providers as needed.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia.
• At least one year of recent relevant experience in a skilled nursing facility or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and current trends in occupational therapy.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for improving quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Skills

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR).
• Experience with aquatic therapy and non-invasive interventions.
