PRN Occupational Therapist
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, you will be a part of a growing team. Your primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting according to an individualized plan of care. You will also provide excellent care and customer service to patients and their families, collaborate with facility staff to ensure high-quality care, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in a SNF setting following an individualized plan of care
- Provide excellent care for your patients
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and family members
- Collaborate with facility staff to ensure excellent care for patients
- Evaluate new patients, develop plans of care, and set measurable, functional goals
- Treat patients, answer their concerns, and educate them on their injuries, progress, and probable outcomes
- Evaluate patient progress, revise plans of care, and reset goals
- Complete timely and accurate documentation including evaluations, re-evaluations, discharges, and daily progress notes
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience working in a SNF setting, familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR).
Skills
Strong clinical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work under pressure are key. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems is beneficial.
