PRN Occupational Therapist

About the role

Provide PRN (as-needed) occupational-therapy services in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and functional needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, daily living skills, and overall independence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists for coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Provide adaptive equipment training, fall prevention strategies, and patient/caregiver education.
• Ensure high-quality care across variable schedules and patient acuity levels.

Requirements

• Current New York state license, registration, and malpractice insurance to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Dedicated to compassionate, quality care with an enthusiastic and energetic approach.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, maintaining flexibility and patience.
• Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing patient needs.

Schedule

PRN (as-needed) role that may include weekend coverage.
