PRN Occupational Therapist

About the Role

PRN/Per Diem Occupational Therapist (OT) position in a skilled nursing facility, providing flexible care to geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and functional needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and functional needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, daily living skills, and independence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists.
• Provide adaptive equipment training, fall prevention strategies, and patient/caregiver education.
• Deliver high-quality, flexible care across varying schedules and patient acuity levels.
• Provide rehabilitation services to improve residents' functional independence, working closely with the care team to ensure coordinated, personalized care in a supportive environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Current NY license and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Malpractice insurance.
• Dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience and a cheerful disposition.
• Adaptable under pressure.
