About the role

Provides direct and indirect care with emphasis on employee health. Utilizes established protocols and current standards of care to meet the wide variety of health care needs of the Marathon Health population.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and orders lab tests, reviews immunization and disease status, prepares and administers injections and vaccinations, performs phlebotomy, and provides wound care.
  • Relays urgent requests and emergencies to the provider as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with providers and other departments to support various health initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with employee health requirements and maintains accurate records.
  • Supports patient care by educating on disease processes, medication side effects, and treatment procedures.
  • Maintains a professional and safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred and 3+ years of healthcare experience required.
  • Current Registered Nurse Certification and active license required.
  • Phlebotomy Certification and CPR/BLS are required.
  • Occupational health certification preferred.
  • Prior experience with occupational health strongly preferred.
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience required.

Qualifications

  • Experience handling general office procedures, confidential files, and operating general administrative office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, basic lab interpretation, practical nursing theories and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability of process improvement.
  • Strong technical expertise using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Outstanding customer service, patient care and overall concern for patient wellbeing and safety.
  • Effective communication skills, including written and oral.
  • Proven record of successfully working with employees, stakeholders, clients, vendors, and guests.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of critical thinking, creative, and effective problem-solving skills.

Skills

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic lab interpretation.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain patient privacy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Pay

$35.00-46.00/hr. The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
