About the role
Provides direct and indirect care with emphasis on employee health. Utilizes established protocols and current standards of care to meet the wide variety of health care needs of the Marathon Health population.
Responsibilities
- Collects and orders lab tests, reviews immunization and disease status, prepares and administers injections and vaccinations, performs phlebotomy, and provides wound care.
- Relays urgent requests and emergencies to the provider as appropriate.
- Collaborates with providers and other departments to support various programs and events.
- Ensures compliance with employee health requirements and maintains accurate records.
- Performs general office tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, and handling correspondence.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment, adhering to MH branding and safety standards.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred and 3+ years of healthcare experience required, including phlebotomy, point of care testing, and wound care.
- Current Registered Nurse Certification and active license required.
- Phlebotomy Certification and CPR/BLS are required.
- Prior experience with occupational health is strongly preferred.
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience required.
Qualifications
- Experience with general office procedures, confidential files, and administrative office equipment.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, basic lab interpretation, and practical nursing theories.
- Strong technical expertise with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Outstanding customer service, patient care, and overall concern for patient wellbeing and safety.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
