PRN Music Therapist

About the Role

The C-IHS Per Diem Music Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic music services to hospice patients and their families, supporting compassionate care and enhancing quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Deliver approved therapeutic modalities within scope of practice and agency policies
• Interact compassionately with patients and families
• Assist with hospice activities and contribute to care plans and interdisciplinary meetings
• Communicate schedule and availability updates to supervisors
• Accurately document services provided
• Maintain a caring, supportive, and non-judgmental approach aligned with hospice values

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an AMTA-approved program or equivalent
• Current CPR certification

Preferred:

• Master’s/Doctoral degree
• AMTA Board Certification
• Minimum one year of music therapy experience
• Six months working with hospice or similar populations

Applicants will be evaluated based on education, experience, and certifications.
