About the role
Prairie Heights Healthcare is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their long-term care unit at their skilled nursing facility. The facility is dedicated to providing high-quality services and values its LPNs.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) care for residents
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation, charting, and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies
- Support and implement individualized resident care plans while ensuring resident dignity, preferences, and rights are respected
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality resident care
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by South Dakota required
- BLS certification from the AHA required
Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in administering medications and treatments
- Knowledge of long-term care protocols and procedures
- Excellent observational and reporting skills
