Position Summary

The Inpatient Counselor will be responsible for providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy
• Psych assessments
• Treatment Planning

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a behavioral science or mental health related field required
• Clinical and administrative experience in an inpatient and outpatient mental health setting preferred
• Possess general knowledge of all areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment
• Age-Specific Competencies: Adults
• CPR and CPI certification training provided upon hire
• Ability to relate well with treatment professionals
• Ability to mobilize and coordinate staff resources
• Skills in dealing courteously with the public and individuals within the organization and counseling centers
• Organizational skills
• Ability to keep information highly confidential
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Basic data entry skills preferred
• Time management skills
• HIPAA: Has access to and adds information to the Medical Record. May only access medical record of assigned patients.
