PRN Environmental Service Floor Tech - Carthage

About the role

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all types of floor surfaces, walls, and upholstered furniture. This position may also perform all the tasks of a Housekeeper and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve housekeeping issues using analytical skills.
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication abilities.
• Understand assigned areas, necessary supplies, and equipment.
• Apply knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor care machinery.
• Perform proper care for various types of floors, carpets, fabrics, and wall coverings.
• Lift and carry heavy and bulky objects.
• Work rapidly and accurately on tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred Experience: One to two years of relevant experience.
• Preferred Certifications: Gloss Tek certification.
