About the role
WVUHS is currently seeking a PRN Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team in Northern WV. This role serves all northern WVU hospitals including Wheeling, Barnesville, Harrison, Wetzel, and Weirton.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients at various hospitals in Northern WVU
- Work in a team environment at Wheeling Hospital, founded in 1850
- Provide a wide array of primary and tertiary care services
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medical license in Pennsylvania
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Board-certified or board-eligible via a recognized board within the American Board of Medical Specialties
- Emergency Medicine Board Certification required
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
