PRN Dietary Cook

AVIR Health Group is seeking a PRN Dietary Cook who is resident- and family-focused, a team builder, and excited to help build a positive facility culture. This role prepares and cooks high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees, while strictly adhering to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
