PRN Detox & Mental Health Nurse

About the role

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide direct nursing care in a behavioral health setting, including detox and residential mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and mental health status.
• Document assessments, medication administration, incidents, and clinical concerns.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and support individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain infection control, confidentiality, and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Foster a calm, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing program.
• Active Georgia LPN license in good standing (or RN license, if applicable).
• CPR certification or ability to obtain it.
• Preferred experience in detox, behavioral health, mental health, or addiction medicine.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Physical demands

• Full-time, on-site position involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
