PRN Dermatology Medical Assistant - Winston-Salem, NC

About the role

Qualderm Partners provides comprehensive skin and aesthetic wellness services, including medical dermatology, skin cancer care, and cosmetic treatments. The team is committed to helping patients look and feel their best through compassionate, high-quality care. This Dermatology Medical Assistant position is based in Winston-Salem, NC, with travel required to Mount Airy and North Wilkesboro. Availability to work Mondays is required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories
• Assisting providers during examinations and procedures
• Preparing instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms
• Conducting basic laboratory tests and handling specimens for analysis
• Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records
• Coordinating patient scheduling and office communications
• Educating patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare
• Keeping examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus
• Must be available to work Mondays
• Must be willing to travel to Mount Airy and North Wilkesboro
