PRN Customer Service Representative - Pediatrics Primary - Travels Locations

About the role

The Customer Service Representative role is PRN (as-needed), meaning availability is required to work any day of the week, including weekdays and weekends, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Schedules are based on business and patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephones, patient appointment scheduling, patient check-in, insurance verification, authorization, pre-certifications, referrals, and posting charges.
• Prepare well-coded and accurate billing and maintain medical records.
• Manage business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health and corporate accounts, depending on specific Practice/Department needs.
• May require late hours, holidays, and weekends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Less than 1 Year Clerical/Administrative experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required in Employee Health

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• IT/computer proficiency
• Basic math knowledge
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful
