About the role

Join Embark Hurricane, a residential treatment center specializing in the stabilization and assessment of adolescent boys ages 12 to 17 and their families. We're seeking independent, skilled cooks who thrive in an autonomous work environment and are passionate about creating meaningful impact through food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for the duration of your shift, including breakfast, lunch, or dinner for clients and staff.
• Prepare mid-meal snacks, ensuring food is always readily available.
• Assist in food preparation and storage.
• Oversee the overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the kitchen.
• Prepare food ahead of time for the following day's menu.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of cooking experience.
• Current Food Handler's Permit and a valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of health codes and proper sanitation.
• Skill in preparation of a variety of foods.
• Ability to adapt to special dietary needs of the clients.

Pay

$15.00 - $18.50 per hour

Schedule

Part-time/On-call: 5 or 8 hour shifts available daily
