Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens using evidence-based medicine and standards of care.
- Support hospital performance on national quality indicators, with a strong focus on the admission medication process.
- Provide educational in-services to clinical staff.
- Develop policies and processes to enhance departmental operations and workflow efficiency.
- Participate in at least one departmental or hospital committee.
- Precept pharmacy students and/or residents, contributing to clinical education and training.

- Direct patient care: 60%
- Order verification & distribution: 20%
- Education: 15%
- Administrative duties: 5%
Requirements
Education
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification.
- PharmD, preferred.
Experience
- Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy, preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification, preferred.
Additional Skills

Schedule
PRN hours covering 8-10 hour shifts on days and evenings
