About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to support a dynamic team. Your primary responsibilities include assisting in the treatment of patients by implementing individualized plans of care developed by Occupational Therapists. You will ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
- Aid patients through all phases of occupational therapy treatment and techniques.
- Communicate with patients about their treatment and document their conditions and responses in charts after each visit.
- Interact continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
