Job Summary

To deliver care and create a therapeutic environment for patients and families whose needs range from basic to complex by utilizing the nursing process. To carry out functions in a manner consistent with Performance Improvement and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. To demonstrate clinical excellence through proficient practice which enhances and enriches the practice environment.

Qualifications

  • Licensure/Certification: Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN strongly preferred. Specialty certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum Of 9 Months Of Nursing Experience.

  • Aptitude in documenting plan of care, assessments and interventions and patient outcomes in an electronic medical record thoroughly, accurately, and according to CMC Professional Nursing Practice Standards and ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
  • Aptitude in reporting status, including response to care, and changes in status as appropriate.
  • Aptitude in ensuring calm, supportive and therapeutic environment for patients and their families, serving as an advocate when appropriate.
  • Aptitude in adhering to all safety, organizational and ethical standards according to ANA Code of Ethics.
  • Aptitude in implementing elements of core measures in conjunction with Performance Improvement.
  • Aptitude in identifying current trends which could impact patient outcomes.
  • Aptitude in identifying system resources effectively and allocating them appropriately at the point of care delivery.
  • Aptitude in managing a specific complex clinical procedure common to patients in area of practice, and encouraging colleagues to seek her/his guidance in managing the specific procedure/technique throughout the year.
  • Aptitude in employing critical thinking skills to solve problems and achieve patient outcomes.
  • Aptitude in identifying & communicating needs for innovative nursing practices.
  • Aptitude in identifying & communicating need for new or revised policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.
  • Aptitude in identifying research as a resource in clinical practice.
  • Aptitude in staying current with new resources/knowledge/evidence.
  • Aptitude in serving as a resource/trainer for colleagues regarding competencies, policies and procedures, and clinical practice related to patient population served.
  • Aptitude in utilizing the change process to improve patient care, the work environment, and patient and staff satisfaction.
