About the role
The Private Wealth Management Trust Advisor role at Regions involves acquiring personal trust, estate, individual retirement account (IRA), and investment management client relationships. This includes prospecting, building internal and external business networks, and presenting sales pitches. Responsibilities also include retaining and providing advisory services to existing clients, managing account administration, and coordinating client service activities with other wealth management partners.
Responsibilities
- Perpetual discovery to assess clients' financial situations to retain and grow client relationships
- Guidance and solutions for complex investment allocations, goals, and objectives
- Generate large new business opportunities consistently
- Stay updated on trends and developments in the trust and investment management industry
- Oversee the setup, implementation, and administration of trusts, estates, IRAs, Investment Management Accounts (IMAs), and custody accounts
- Ensure account administration complies with fiduciary principles
- Coordinate client service activities with other wealth management partners
- Mentor and coach junior trust advisors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Eight (8) years of Trust Administration, Estate/Tax Law, Financial Planning, or relevant experience including direct client interaction to deliver fiduciary services
- Strong knowledge of trust principles and regulatory and tax matters relating to the administration of trust accounts
- Demonstrated knowledge of fiduciary products and services, including legal, tax, and regulatory requirements applicable to fiduciary relationships and the administration of trust accounts
Preferences
- Advanced degree (e.g., JD, LLM, CPA, MBA, Master of Taxation)
- Professional Certifications (CTFA, CFP, AIF, CWS)

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
