About the role

The Private Client Services group of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is seeking a Counsel to join their thriving Private Wealth practice. The position will be based in Katten's Chicago, IL office.

Responsibilities

• Administering and settling decedent estates and trusts
• Funding trusts
• Probate filings
• Preparing and filing estate tax and gift tax returns
• Working directly with clients and other advisers
• Working independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in administering and settling decedent estates and trusts, funding trusts, probate filings, preparing and filing estate tax and gift tax returns, and related activities

Qualifications

• Skilled at working directly with clients and the clients’ other advisers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Strong legal knowledge in estate planning and administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
