Private Wealth Associate
About the role
Husch Blackwell LLP, a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, seeks a Private Wealth Associate with four to eight years of experience. Candidates in Dallas, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Nashville, or St. Louis are strongly preferred, though we will consider applicants for any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link.
The ideal candidate will have experience in sophisticated estate planning and drafting, trust and estate administration, estate and gift tax, and charitable planning. Prior law firm experience is required. The successful candidate will work with attorneys across our various offices in our Financial Services & Capital Markets strategic industry group.
Responsibilities
- Handle sophisticated estate planning and drafting
- Manage trust and estate administration
- Address estate and gift tax matters
- Develop charitable planning strategies
- Articulate legal strategies and courses of action
- Effectively manage multiple projects under pressure
Requirements
- Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which you are applying, or commitment to obtain one as soon as possible
- Four to eight years of relevant experience preferred
- Prior law firm experience
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated record of working well under pressure
- Exceptional judgment and ability to handle multiple projects

Pay
Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position is:
- California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Washington, D.C.: $230,000 - $275,000
- Minnesota and Vermont: $215,000 - $275,000
- All other markets: varies depending on market data
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
