About the Role
The Private Wealth Advisor is a trusted advisor who serves ultra-affluent clients and prospects with investible assets of >$5MM and sophisticated, complex needs. Through a team-led approach, the advisor helps families and business owners achieve their banking, long-term planning, and wealth preservation goals at every life stage.
The Private Wealth Advisor collaborates with a dedicated team of experts to review, identify, and deliver holistic family financial solutions. The objective is to provide personalized education, advice, guidance, and solutions to improve clients' financial well-being.
Responsibilities
- Leverage specialty resources in a team-led approach to advise, guide, and deliver long-term planning and investment solutions to manage and preserve clients' overall wealth.
- Surround clients with a team of experts to help manage and preserve multi-generational wealth through the Family Office, offering comprehensive services spanning holistic governance, planning, family education, and concierge services.
- Transform client needs into relevant product and service offerings to exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with Trust, Planning, and Investment teams to deliver holistic solutions.
- Apply functional and technical knowledge to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought, judgment, and innovative solutions.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend solutions to meet clients' current and future needs.
- Provide personalized education, advice, guidance, and solutions using integrated delivery of investment management, fiduciary advice, specialized asset management, financial planning, business succession planning, and credit and depository services.
- Broaden the scope of customer relationships through a deep understanding of individual client needs, adhering to a fiduciary standard.
- Grow and retain Wealth Management relationships using effective relationship skills, sales strategies, and engagement with internal and external sources.
- Take accountability for achieving business results aligned with Individual Segment goals and profitability objectives under changing circumstances.
Business Development
- Drive new client acquisition through targeted prospecting, referrals, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and execute a business development plan to grow the ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client base and expand share of wallet with existing relationships.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives to raise profile and attract new business.
- Leverage internal and external centers of influence (e.g., investment bankers, attorneys, accountants) to identify new UHNW prospects.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and conduct regular follow-up to convert opportunities into long-term relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the Wealth Management industry.
- Specialized expertise in one or more of the following: Investment Management, Trust, Estate Planning, or Business Succession Planning.
- Previous successful business development activities and effective relationship management experience.
- Ability to provide investment advice and guidance to clients with highly complex and sophisticated relationships.
- Strong knowledge of the finance industry and the local, state, national, and global economy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver advanced presentations and recommendations to all levels of internal and external contacts.
- Flexibility of schedule to accommodate client meetings outside normal business hours.
- State Life, Accident & Health, and Variable Contract insurance licenses.
- Certifications or degrees such as CRPC, CFP, CPA, CFA, CWS, CTFA, CFM, MBA, or JD, or the ability to earn accreditation.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
