Job Function
Affiliate with assigned programs or special events for youth, teens, adults, families, and active older adults. Stay updated on all current and upcoming programs and events to inform members and potential members about the YMCA's offerings.
Program/Department Responsibilities
- Organize, implement, and promote assigned programs and special events.
- Interpret YMCA membership and program information to members and potential members to boost their participation.
- Provide tours to potential new members, explaining the facility, policies, and membership rates.
- Ensure continuous rounds on an hourly basis to be visible and available to members.
- Address requests, comments, and complaints promptly and refer them to supervisors or appropriate staff.
- Offer back-up support to Membership Service Desk Staff during cashing in/out or as needed.
Fiscal Responsibilities
- Comply with all fiscal policies and procedures, including petty cash, member registration, and membership desk operations.
- Maintain timely collections and safekeeping of Central Division's funds.
Facility/Housekeeping Responsibility
- Ensure a safe environment for all members.
- Assist with class and program setup, including clearing out gym/program spaces, setting up equipment, moving fans, and cleaning gym floors.
- Pick up from locker rooms, launder towels, and adhere to facility closing procedures.
- Pick up and clean the free weight room according to supervisor's guidelines.
- Clean recreation and gym floors as assigned, prior to all classes, programs, or special events.
- Follow facility opening procedures, including locking doors, turning on lights, checking equipment, and ensuring overall facility cleanliness.
- During inclement weather, clear and de-ice front and back walks.

Education/Experience
- High School Diploma
- Maintain CPR certification
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs
- Able to walk up and down stairs
