Private Sector CAD/BIM Manager

Responsibilities
- Direct, organize and manage BIM Designers and Technicians as it relates to the execution and delivery of the BIM process within our delivered projects.
- Lead the development of Corporate BIM standards and BIM workflows and ensure its implementation in industrial and water projects.
- Develop project-related BIM execution plans.
- Lead the development of Corporate Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) standards, workflows, and ensure its implementation in industrial and water projects.
- Serve as a liaison with industrial and water project contractors that require and engage in the use of BIM and VDC standards.
- Work with external parties (clients, vendors, consultants) to coordinate all project-specific BIM/VDC work and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Coordinate with other Carollo CAD/BIM Managers and the Technical Support Group to support company and project workflows.
- Provide first-line skills coaching for junior members of the BIM designer staff, CAD staff, and design staff on deployed and proposed BIM/VDC systems.
- Effectively resolve personnel conflicts with and between subordinates.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring of new BIM/VDC/CAD talent.
- Perform yearly review process for BIM Designers and Technicians as assigned.
- Work with Engineers, Designers, and CAD Technicians to generate accurate, presentable BIM and/or VDC products.
- Assist in the development, follow, enforce, and ensure the implementation of the Carollo Company-Wide BIM Standards.
- Coordinate with senior engineering staff to develop efficient engineering/BIM workflows.
- Provide knowledgeable support of Autodesk software, along with associated vertical and horizontal applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil3D system problems.
- Monitor and coordinate software upgrades and compatibility with both internal and external clients, teaming consultants, and sub-consultants to facilitate consistent and reliable transfer of information.
- Research and stay at the forefront of new developments in BIM/VDC technologies and implementations.
- Demonstrate and apply all BIM skills as needed to support the group during periods of high demand.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related technical field.
- 10-15 years’ experience working in Pipeline/Mechanical/Process Engineering design.
- Management and supervisory experience with CAD/BIM Technicians.
Skills
- Autodesk Software: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Fabrication ESTmep, Revit, Navisworks, Forma Design Collaboration, as well as LISP routine programming.
- Bentley Software: MicroStation, iPlot Organizer, ProjectWise.
- Intergraph Isogen.
- Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat.
Pay
Compensation range: $130,000 to $160,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
