Participates in Solicitation
- Solicits residential mortgages from various sources
- Produces high-quality jumbo loans that are compliant
- Provides excellent customer service
Builds Relationships
- Fosters relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, bank stores, past customers, and other non-traditional sources
- Maintains a high degree of visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace
- Stays informed of mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market
Develops and Maintains Visibility
- Presents recommendations for loan production and exercises independent judgment
- Develops understanding of and adheres to Private Mortgage Banking Sales functional area, policies, procedures, compliance requirements
- Generates loans
Customer Service and Communication
- Reviews and analyzes low to moderately complex financial and credit data
- Matches customer needs with appropriate loan programs and levels of risk
- Communicates Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures to prospective and existing customers
- Maintains high standards of client satisfaction and quality by ensuring timely and proactive customer communication
Training and Compliance
- Pursues Wells Fargo training offerings to increase knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures
- Meets the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations
- Completes formal position-specific training programs
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience, or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months, primarily from established, local, external sources
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Mortgage industry experience
- Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals
- Customer service experience
- Experience working with high net-worth clients
Job Expectations
- This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment
- The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position
- Lenders in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies
- Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary
