About the role
Reporting to the Head of Private Markets & CEO, InvestX Markets, we are hiring two Private Markets Specialists to build and scale our Private Markets ecosystem. Each Specialist will bring a strong, established network of clients and prospects who are interested in and capable of trading Late-Stage Growth and pre-IPO equities.
Responsibilities
- Execute pre-IPO equity trades.
- Grow the firm’s network of eligible counterparties that seek to trade pre-IPO equity.
- Help counterparties with negotiation of share transfers with proper trading acumen.
- Alleviate “trading hurdles” through nuance specific private equity (PE) expertise.
- Look for ways to interact with our counterparties and profile for trading opportunities.
- Create repository of market data to allow for an efficient memory of trade history and interested counterparties.
- Add new individuals to the platform at existing relationship to ensure proper breadth of available users.
- With a consultative sales approach, present business solutions to all interested counterparties.
- Work with business leaders to develop strategies for partnerships that solve customer needs.
- Identify trends that will drive partnership opportunities and develop a robust pipeline of future transaction opportunities.
- Work closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure market dynamics are shared internally.
- Professionally and promptly answer inbound and internal inquiries; ensure pitch meetings are completed and manage post-delivery follow-up.
- Track all interactions in Salesforce, for seamless team communication.
Qualifications
- Extensive private equity network client base and prospects - preferably firms who have interest in transacting in the pre-IPO market (including Family Office, Issuers/Employees, Venture Capital (VC), and direct Hedge/Cross-over Fund connectivity, to ensure a seamless transition of our Broker/Dealer Coverage Model).
- Highly driven, self-motivated, target oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambitious start-up environment.
- Strong analytical skills with well-judged decisions, strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, phenomenal win/win negotiation skills, great commercial awareness, and passion to excel.
- Demonstrates an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in successfully approaching businesses in a credible and professional manner, with evidence of helping them to achieve their goals.
- Ability to toggle between individual goals and a team environment.
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 required.
- Eligibility to travel between the US and Canada to attend occasional meetings; ability to travel as needed.
Pay
2026 base salary range is $150,000 - $250,000 USD plus performance-based bonus plan with target compensation of $500,000 (no cap) and equity options for NYC.
