Private Equity / Private Credit Valuation Senior Associate

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain valuation models across private equity, private credit, structured credit, and other illiquid investments, using methodologies including DCF, market comparables, recovery analysis, and option-pricing models.
• Support valuation approach from deal inception through funding and across the life of the investment.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Accounting, Operations, and Valuation Control to help build scalable workflows, tools, and processes to support a rapidly growing business.
• Act as a key contact for valuation-related queries and monitor performance and financial data.
• Liaise with external valuation agents and auditors, providing support on methodologies, assumptions, and model outputs.
• Prepare valuation reports highlighting key drivers, material changes, and P & L movements.
• Support ad hoc projects and enhancements to valuation processes, controls, and reporting.

Qualifications / Skills Required

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in private equity, private credit, structured products, or illiquid asset valuation.
• Strong valuation and modeling background, with experience across a range of private and less liquid investments.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and exercise judgment, while working as an individual contributor within a broader team structure.
• Prominent ability to coordinate across multiple functions and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg, CapIQ, and iLevel.
• CFA or progress toward CFA preferred.

Pay

The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
