Private Equity Associate

Join a middle-market private equity firm in Boston, MA, focused on business services, healthcare services, and manufacturing. The firm invests $40–$60M in businesses with EBITDA of at least $5M. Fund IV closed in November 2023 at $456M (oversubscribed) and the firm manages $1.2B in AUM. Team size is ~13 professionals.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, highly regarded firm known for its collaborative, dynamic culture and close partnerships with founder-owned businesses.

Responsibilities

• Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies.
• Prepare memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee.
• Conduct industry research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, and key competitors.
• Facilitate third-party diligence activities with senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, and strategy consultants.
• Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, leveraged finance, or management consulting; lower middle-market experience is a plus.
• Undergraduate degree required.

Pay

$200–220k all-in.
