Private Equity Associate 2027 start

About the Role

This Associate role is on the deal team of a lower middle-market private equity firm located just outside Philadelphia, PA. The firm invests in a variety of sectors including medical device manufacturing, IT and data management, human capital management, and knowledge & learning.

Responsibilities

• Support senior investment professionals in investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management functions.
• Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies.
• Prepare memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee.
• Conduct industry research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
• Facilitate due diligence activities with third-party partners (e.g., senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, strategy consultants).
• Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies.
• Compile financial reports and valuation estimates of current portfolio companies for current and potential investors.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience (by Summer 2027) in investment banking, private equity, or financial consulting.
• Proficiency in financial tools required for private equity.
• Undergraduate degree required.
