Private Duty Home Health Aide (HHA/CNA)

About the role

This position requires extreme attention to detail and a commitment to 'awake' shifts. Shifts are 7 days/7 nights per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). The team structure consists of exactly two aides sharing the full weekly schedule. The client does not utilize fill-ins and requires a consistent, long-term commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls
• Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
• Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
• Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
• Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
• Document and report changes in client condition promptly
• Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
• Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements

Qualifications

• CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
• Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
• Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
• Comfortable working in a private home setting
• Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols
• Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise

Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Current CPR Certification
• Clear Background Check
• Negative TB Test Results
• Proof of Auto Insurance (with your name listed on the policy)

Pay

The pay range is $16–$18 per hour, based on experience and case needs.
