Private Credit Commercial Strategy - Director
About the role
Lending Solutions powers the global lending market by providing solutions, data and services across the entire lending eco-system for private and public markets. The Private Credit Commercial Strategy team member will support the team in leading strategy across Lending Solutions and (Private) Markets, collaborating on P&L, customer engagement, product development, marketing and overall business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on strategy definition and business planning with leaders and teams to accelerate growth and deliver projects tied to Private Credit and Lending Solutions.
- Partner across teams to deliver solutions that support the Private Credit market, providing market insights, commentary and research publications to deliver value to customers.
- Ensure revenue and margin targets are achieved on client implementations, strategic projects and professional services engagements; keep stakeholders informed of progress, developments and risk.
- Provide feedback and market knowledge to develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with industry trends; represent the business at client events and industry conferences.
- Contribute to short- and long-term product development, market penetration and competitive analysis to maintain and grow market-leading presence globally.
- Support and contribute to a successful private credit strategy that meets customers’ bespoke needs.
- Understand prioritization of key feature enhancements based on market conditions, revenue impact and client mandates or industry trends.
- Work with vendor partnerships, provide input on potential acquisition targets and protect S&P Global intellectual property.
- Engage regularly with clients and travel to identify trends, enforce commercial guidelines and collaborate with professional services stakeholders to support revenue growth and retention.
- Understand and contribute to the business vision and strategy to accelerate growth, price commercial opportunities, manage client relationships and P&L against targets.
- Support successful client implementations, transition to operations teams and ongoing monitoring of service metrics.
Requirements
- BA degree with a solid academic record preferred.
- 7–10+ years of relevant experience within lending, private credit, private markets, operations, asset management or similar.
- Familiarity with private credit and credit agreements.
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines under time pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player with excellent time management skills.
- Project management skills and proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Diligent, intellectually curious self-starter with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed and problem-solve.

Schedule
Required in-office presence: 3 days per week when not traveling to visit customers, prospects or operational teams. Regular travel is required.
Pay
Anticipated base salary range: $149,031 – $209,100. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. Eligible for an annual incentive plan; not eligible for additional compensation such as annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
