This is a hybrid position based in the Hartford, CT office. Team members are expected to be in the office on average 3 days per week to enable in-person collaboration.

Your team

You will work closely on an engagement team made up of other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.

Industries served include: Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services.

The office features a modern environment with amenities and collaborative spaces designed for connection, learning, and growth.

You will be paired with a Performance Coach who will establish goals, provide feedback, and support your career development. Many current Managers and Partners began as CohnReznick interns.

You will also have a designated CR Friend to help you get started, answer questions, and ensure you feel at home from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
  • Assist the team with daily client workflow.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • On track to complete 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility.
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA in both major and overall coursework.
  • Successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher.
  • Leadership experience in student groups, activities, or team projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and sharp critical thinking.
  • Comfort navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; eager to learn new technologies.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Pay

In Connecticut, the salary for an intern is $35 per hour.
