About the role
We are seeking an experienced associate with at least five years of relevant transactional experience in trust and estate planning and administration to join our national Private Client Services Group.
Responsibilities
- Assisting individuals and families with sophisticated estate and tax planning techniques
- Administering, decanting, and modifying trusts
- Administering complex estates
- Planning with respect to business interests, art, and often unusual assets
- Analyzing complex transfer tax issues
- Handling tax controversy matters before the Internal Revenue Service
Requirements
- At least five years of relevant transactional experience in trust and estate planning and administration
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An LL.M. in tax is preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction
- Member of the bar in good standing in the state where the position will be located

- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
