About the role

As a Private Bank Relationship Manager at California Bank & Trust, you will act as the principal account and relationship manager for new and existing clients, focusing on generating, managing, and servicing a portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for generating, retaining, and expanding business in loan and deposit products, investment and trust referrals, and commercial business referrals, while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the principal account and relationship manager for new and existing clients.
  • Generate, manage, and service a portfolio of clients.
  • Develop and expand business in loan and deposit products, investment and trust referrals, and commercial business referrals.
  • Perform credit analysis and ensure proper loan structuring.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Develop and follow up on new client leads through existing clients, referrals from other bank departments, and divisions.
  • Call on existing relationships to review portfolios and make recommendations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 6-8+ years of experience with lending, sales, banking products and services, or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of banking, commercial lending, mortgages, investments, trusts, affinity, and insurance products and services.
  • Strong sales, self-management, credit analysis, loan structuring, applicant interviewing, and perceptive character judgment skills.
  • Extensive working knowledge of financial planning to recognize investments, brokerage sales, and referral opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to a high degree of service quality.
  • Advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software.

Pay

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $147,000 - $196,000, depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
