Private Banking Lending Assistant

About the role

Provides administrative support to a Private Banker, primarily overseeing the loan origination process by collaborating with loan officers, internal departments, clients, and third parties.

Handles client-related responsibilities such as monitoring account overdrafts, maturing loans, past-due loans, loan covenant exception clearing, and facilitating miscellaneous requests including research needs and new deposit account inquiries.

Manages activities related to sponsorships, client entertainment, and other special projects. Requires frequent communication with Private Bank clients via email, phone, and in-person interactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the loan origination process in coordination with loan officers, internal departments, clients, and third parties.
• Monitor account overdrafts, maturing loans, past-due loans, and loan covenant exception clearing.
• Facilitate miscellaneous client requests, including research and new deposit account inquiries.
• Handle sponsorships, client entertainment, and special projects.
• Communicate professionally with clients via email, phone, and in-person interactions.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of Retail or Private Bank experience, or commensurate experience in teller, loan, or bank operations roles.
• Previous administrative assistant experience strongly preferred.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering excellent client service.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
• Excellent communication skills, including professional writing and speaking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
