Analyzes and Underwrites Credit Requests
To analyze and underwrite credit requests, the successful candidate will:
- Use applications, investment and financial statements, meetings with customers/prospects, web research and other resources as necessary
- Determine if the request complies with Bank policy and note any exceptions
- Discuss deal structure, cash flow, collateral, and customer character with Private Banker and Private Banking Manager
- Absorb and present written analysis and observe presentations by Private Banking Manager at Loan Committee
Maintains and Monitors Loans
The candidate will manage existing portfolio by:
- Monitoring collateral
- Tracking and preparing annual reviews and pipeline management
- Maintaining tracking database, files and pipeline with updated information as needed
- Identifying potential problem loans and deficiencies including document exceptions
Supports Clients
The candidate will assist clients with:
- Questions regarding loans and retail products
Other Duties
The candidate may also perform other related duties as required including:
- Loan documentation
- Loan bookings
- Customer advances and pay downs
- Payoff requests
- Portfolio administration
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 1-3 years of commercial banking/credit experience
- Client service experience
Skills and Knowledge
The candidate should possess:
- Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving/critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of PC applications, including Excel and Word
- Extensive knowledge of the Bank’s credit policy, underwriting standards and product/service offerings
- Familiarity with and fulfillment of compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail
